SUMMARY OF EXPERIENCE:


Planner/Scheduler - Fifteen years overall combined experience with CB&A Project Management Services (2011-Present), US Steel Blast Furnace #8 Outage (2008), BE&K Engineering Company (2006), Rust Engineering (1980-1988), and Southern Company Services (1974-1980) serving as a planner/scheduler in the engineering, procurement, construction, and construction management of heavy industrial projects and outages.

·   Organize scope into major categories (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, etc.) to outline deliverables and milestones.

·   Determine primary time table for deliverables from appropriate sources.

·   Sequence major work priorities into a logical schedule.

·   Determine critical paths that anchor the overall project completion date.

·   Develop workarounds to overcome obstacles in the critical path.

·   Integrate, review, and validate critical path relationships (predecessors/successors) with primary parties.

·   Calculate total float to report the critical path.

·   Prepare work breakdown structure (WBS) which serves the link to the scope of work. Prepare activity coding dictionary to sort and filter activities by system, building, discipline of work, etc.

·   Receive and understand client constraints (funding, outages, permits).

·   Integrate constraints into project schedule and evaluate schedule impacts.

·   Determine working calendars of each project discipline.

·   Coordinate with Cost Department, Estimating and Construction to determine work durations by commodity/task.

·   Manage and control all scheduling data (CPM, constraints, durations, WBS, etc.) through project management software (Primavera or other program).

·   Collect progress updates from responsible authority by discipline.

·   Collect progress updates from subcontractors and vendors.

·   Update and evaluate percent complete progress and actual dates based upon progress updates per Earned Value Measurement System rules.

·   Determine remaining duration.

·   Calculate project schedule duration after input of progress.

·   Review and analyze critical path.

·   Develop customized schedule reports according to customer requirements.

·   Produce and validate critical path report.

·   Develop milestone schedule report.

·   Validate status report of prior update.

·   Communicate project status report to project team and client via weekly meetings. 

 

Senior Network Administrator
Sixteen years progressive experience at Rust Engineering Company (and its successors) in computer and network administration with the last 5 years (1989 – 2004) holding the position of Senior Network Administrator supporting both Novell 4.11 and Windows NT/2000 Server.

·   Daily administration of the NT Domain/Active Directory for all users, groups, and device accounts.

·   System backups of servers were performed as part of a comprehensive data safety and corporate disaster recovery policy.

·   Strongly participated in development, design and implementation of LAN/WAN hardware installation and performance upgrades.

·   Established and maintained LAN documentation, SOP's and Work Instructions.
